ATS Diesel Shipping Policy

ATS Diesel Performance — Shipping & Core Policy Shipping & Freight Terms

Transmission Freight: Heavy-duty transmissions are shipped via LTL Freight. Our standard flat-rate freight cost for shipping complete transmissions within the lower 48 states is currently USD 800.00. However, ATS Diesel Performance reserves the right to adjust shipping rates based on current market carrier rates. This flat-rate freight cost is comprehensive: it covers both the initial transport of your newly built ATS transmission to your location and the prepaid return shipping of your core back to our facility.

Transmission Shipping Hold: To ensure a smooth core return stream, please note that transmission orders will not ship until you have either paid the core charge on your invoice or arranged to send your rebuildable core to ATS first.

Component Shipping: For smaller performance components (such as valve bodies, torque converters, or turbochargers), return shipping instructions and any associated return tags will be provided with your shipment.Alaska, Hawaii, & Canadian Shipments (Guidelines & Restrictions)

Shipping outside the contiguous lower 48 states is subject to different rates, transit times, and customs requirements:

Alaska & Hawaii (HI/AK): The standard flat-rate freight of USD 800.00 does not apply to shipments heading to Alaska or Hawaii. Orders shipping to these states require a custom freight quote. In addition, customers in Alaska and Hawaii are responsible for any non-standard freight surcharges or return shipping costs. Please call our sales team directly to arrange custom logistics or customers can arrange their own freight.

Canada & International Shipments:

Duties, Taxes, and Brokerage: All Canadian shipments are subject to Canadian customs clearance, brokerage fees, duties, and provincial taxes (GST/HST). These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not included in the ATS shipping charge.

Core Return Declaration: When returning a core from Canada, it must be properly documented on the commercial invoice and customs paperwork. You must clearly mark the package as "USED AUTO PARTS FOR REMANUFACTURING – RETURN TO MANUFACTURER – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE." Failure to declare the core properly can result in international customs holding the package or charging import duties on the core itself. Any duties or customs penalties incurred due to improper paperwork will be deducted from your final core refund.Core Return Timelines

To keep our production line supplied and to avoid penalty fees, we request that cores be sent back to us promptly: 30 day minimum.

Transmissions: Transmission cores must be shipped back to ATS Diesel within 14 days (2 weeks) of receiving your new unit.

Components & Parts: Non-transmission cores (such as torque converters, fuel pumps, injectors, or turbochargers) must be returned within 30 days of delivery.Packaging & Core Return

Requirements

Pallet & Box Shipments: Transmissions are shipped secured to a wooden pallet inside a protective heavy-duty box. It is your responsibility to securely strap, bolt, or chain your return core back onto the same wooden pallet (or equivalent) and box it securely for the return trip.

Drain All Fluids: Before shipping any core back to ATS, you must completely drain all transmission fluid, oil, or fuel from the unit. Shipping carrier regulations strictly prohibit transport of hazardous materials that are actively leaking. Any clean-up fees or carrier fines resulting from improperly drained units will be deducted from your core refund.

Prepaid Return: For contiguous US customers, the shipping price you paid initially covers the return freight of your core. There are no additional shipping fees to return the palletized core.

Core Inspection and Damage Policies

ATS Diesel Performance is dedicated to remanufacturing parts to elite, track-tested standards. We rely on your returned core to build the next generation of components.

Damage Assessment: Upon arrival at our facility, all cores undergo a strict visual and physical inspection. We inspect for catastrophic failure and hard-part damage, such as cracked or broken outer cases, sheared shafts, or excessive internal geartrain/hard-part destruction.

Deductions: If critical, non-reusable hard parts have suffered catastrophic damage, ATS Diesel reserves the right to deduct the direct replacement cost of those hard parts from your core refund. These deductions are strictly based on the manufacturer’s replacement cost of the broken components; we do not mark up these fees or look to profit from core damages. We only seek to return the core to a buildable state.

Damaged Cores are Still Valuable: If you suspect your core has severe internal damage, please do not automatically assume it has no value and discard it. Many cores are expected to have a reasonable level of wear or damage, and we can often salvage key portions. Always return your core for inspection!Core Refunds and Credits

Processing: Core refunds and credits are processed as quickly as possible. Every core must be fully inspected and checked into our inventory management system before a credit or refund can be approved.

Payment Schedule: Once approved, core refunds are processed in accordance with our corporate accounting billing cycles. Refunds are typically issued throughout the month. We appreciate your patience as we ensure every return is evaluated fairly and accurately.
