ATS Product Warranty

GENERAL ATS PRODUCT WARRANTY 

ATS products generally carry a ONE to FIVE YEAR Warranty. There are several exceptions, refer to the Warranty’s specific terms and conditions. All labor, shipping, or any other charges associated with the product and the product’s failure are not covered under Warranty. Labor and/or shipping charges will not be refunded under any circumstance. 

All ATS warranties do NOT cover any labor, fluids, taxes or shop supplies of any kind. This Warranty does not cover cooler flow lower than 1 gallon per hour upon installation. If the cooler flow is insufficient to support proper transmission operation, ATS reserves the express right herein to void this Warranty. This warranty does not cover fluids, taxes or shop supplies of any kind. ATS Warranties do not cover consequential damages nor does it warranty/cover any other parts beyond the replacement of any ATS components/parts. All ATS Warranties are NON-transferable.

Warranty Registration

Please contact ATS Diesel Performance to register your product(s). This is important! The registration is necessary to activate your ATS Warranty. ATS must have the Warranty Registration information on-file for each warrantable product to receive any type of Warranty coverage for that product. In the event the consumer does not register their product with ATS, there is a parts only Warranty and is valid only for one (1) year or 100,000 miles. Whichever occurs first.

In the Event of a failure, the consumer MUST follow the procedures below:

1. Contact ATS first and foremost, prior to any diagnostics or repairs being performed. This will help to ensure that the repairs hereafter are eligible for coverage. 
2. ATS MUST assist in the diagnostics in order to determine the failures and how to proceed with repairs (if it is deemed eligible for warranty). 
3. In order to start a Warranty Claim the product must be registered with ATS Diesel. Make sure to have at least one of the following present when contacting ATS to start a claim:
1. If purchased from ATS Diesel Directly, the Original Sales Order from when the item was purchased from ATS. 
2. If purchased through another vendor/source, the original invoice/order through that source. 
3. Product Serial Number
4. Warranty Registration Paperwork
4. Once a failure is confirmed and ATS determines the item(s) are eligible to be covered under warranty, ATS will issue a Return Authorization (RA) and a Warranty Claim # (WA). Once those are obtained, there are 2 options for warranty processing:
1. The consumer MAY return the damaged/defective item(s) to ATS for inspection. Once inspected and ATS has determined the product failure is within the warranty terms, ATS will either repair or replace the item(s) as necessary, per ATS’ Discretion. A repaired or replaced item(s) is/are sent to the consumer. 
2. Should the consumer require immediate service, then the customer MAY purchase the item(s) to be shipped up front then return the damaged/defective parts to ATS for inspection and potential refund. In this case, the customer MUST pay full MSRP, applicable core charges plus shipping to and from ATS. Once the item(s) are returned ATS will inspect to determine warranty coverage and refund as follows:
1. FULL REFUND - If the item(s) is/are determined to be covered under warranty, then ats will refund in full, the product and any applicable core charges. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 
2. PARTIAL/NO REFUND - If the product has failed due to any issues NOT covered under the warranty, ATS will assess charges to the consumer based on any part(s) necessary to return the product to nominal ATS Standards. ATS will deduct the total cost of required part(s) from the replacement product’s purchase price, and refund the consumer the difference (if any). Shipping costs are non-refundable.

ATS may amend this warranty from time to time, at its sole discretion, to keep up with changing business conditions and technology. 

ATS 68-RFE Automatic Transmission packages / stages

ATS Automatic 68-RFE transmission packages carry a 1-year to a 5-year warranty depending on the stage of transmission that is purchased. This Warranty breaks down as follows:

1. No Co-Pilot - 1 year / 100,000 miles 
2. Co-Pilot Tow - 3 years / 300,000 miles
3. Co-Pilot Tow - 5 year / 500,000 miles

ATS Automatic Transmission Packages / Stages

All other ATS Built Automatic Transmission packages / stages (Excludes 68RFE) carry a FIVE YEAR/FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILE (5 yr/500,000 mile) Warranty. 

ALL ATS Automatic Transmission Packages / Stages

This Warranty shall not apply to any automatic transmission that has been improperly stored or installed. This Warranty shall not apply to misapplication, improper operating conditions, accidents, or neglect. This Warranty shall not apply to an automatic transmission that has been improperly repaired, maintained and/or altered by the owner or his agent/tech. This includes (but is not limited to) Items 1, 2, and 3 – listed here:  

1. Broken, fractured, or sheared shafts/gears and damaged cases are not covered under this Warranty.
2. Damage to the front pump due to mis-installation or misalignment of the torque converter.
3. No Racing, Vehicles that are heavily modified such as over sized tires of 37” tall or larger, Engines at or higher than 600 HP or Improperly tuned engines that cause the transmission to be in the wrong gear are not eligible for any type of Labor or shipping coverage under any circumstance
4. Damaged gear train due to insufficient lubrication as a result of:

1. Low fluid level
2. Improperly serviced transmission
3. Modifications to cooler system that are not approved by ATS (i.e.: external transmission filter, restricted cooler lines)
4. Non-updated snap-in connectors in cooler lines (Dodge Specific: 94-98.5 must be upgraded to screw-in cooler lines)

Most importantly, all transmission shafts are not covered by this Warranty on any transmission due to the capability of certain situations to cause stress-loads beyond the structural ability of the shaft. 

If the transmission packages are purchased and installed by ATS Diesel or a Certified ATS Installer, ATS shall cover shipping costs and assist with labor charges for the 1st year (12 months) from the date of purchase. Labor will be covered up to $100 per hour @ ShopKey/Mitchell Guide labor times, up to $1,000 maximum. Fluids, shop supplies and taxes are not included or covered. 

ATS Five Star Viskus Clutch Drive and ATS TripleLok Torque Converters

Five Star Viskus Clutch Drive and ATS TripleLok Torque Converters (“Converters'') carry a FIVE YEAR/FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILE (5 yr/500,000 mile) Warranty. This Warranty shall not apply to any Converter that has been improperly stored or installed. This Warranty shall not apply to misapplication, improper operating conditions, accidents, or neglect. This Warranty shall not apply to a Converter that has been improperly repaired, maintained and/or altered by the owner or his agent/tech. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

1. Mis-installation resulting in Converter hub damage.
2. Stripped bolts or use of bolts other than those supplied by ATS.

ATS Manual Transmissions

ATS manual transmissions carry a 1-year/12,000 mile Warranty. ATS will not pay for any fluids replaced in the event of a transmission failure. There is no labor or freight warranty coverage on standard transmissions. 

Manual transmission shafts and gears are not covered by this Warranty on any transmission due to the capability of certain situations to cause stress-loads beyond the structural ability of the shaft or gear.

Automatic Transmission Clutch Rebuild Kits

Automatic Transmission Clutch Rebuild Kits (the “Kit”) carry a ONE YEAR PARTS ONLY Warranty exclusively against manufacturer’s defects. This Warranty shall not apply to any Kit that has been improperly stored or installed. This Warranty shall not apply to misapplication, improper operating conditions, accidents, or neglect. This Warranty shall not apply to a Kit that has been improperly repaired, maintained and/or altered by the owner or his agent/tech. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

1. Mis-installation resulting in clutch damage.
2. Damaged clutches or steel plates as a result of low fluid conditions, low line pressure, or excessive power applications.

All ATS Aurora Turbochargers

Limited parts only replacement Warranty. This Warranty shall not apply to any Turbo that has been improperly stored or installed. This Warranty shall not apply to misapplication, improper operating conditions, accidents, or neglect. This warranty shall not apply to a Turbo that has been improperly repaired, maintained and/or altered by the owner or his agent/tech.

Damage due to clogged or plugged oil return lines, thrust bushing/bearing damage due to excessive Turbo surge, and/or lack of supply oil to the cartridge are not covered under this Warranty. ATS’ Warranty does not cover broken Turbo shafts or damage from debris being sucked into or ingested by the Turbo’s compressor wheel. However, in the event of an uncovered failure, ATS will inspect the Turbo for damage and charge the consumer only for hard parts replaced.

Aurora Series Fixed Geometry (Non-VFR/VNT) Turbochargers

Aurora Series Fixed Geometry Non-VFR/VNT  Turbochargers (“Turbos”) carry a FIVE YEAR/FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILE (5 yr/500,000 mile) Warranty. 

Aurora VFR Series Turbochargers

Aurora Series VFR/VNT Turbochargers (“Turbos”) carry a THREE YEAR/THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILE (3 yr/300,000 mile) Warranty. Electronic actuators, solenoids, sensors and any other electronics carry a 1 year warranty.

ATS Electronics carry a 1 year Warranty. 

ATS Diesel Performance Exhaust Manifolds

All ATS Exhaust Manifolds carry a 5 year warranty. 

International ATS Warranty Coverage for ATS

This clause applies to all parts/products manufactured or assembled by ATS Diesel Performance and are outside of North America(USA, Canada, Mexico). The parts included in this warranty include, but not limited to the following :

This Warranty clause covers PARTS only. The customer is responsible for all shipping and labor costs. Please see the terms of this Warranty under each product for coverage.

The following is NOT covered under warranty

ATS is NOT LIABLE for any towing charges, travel/lodging expenses, lost wages, business losses, replacement vehicle charges, or any other resulting charges due to the failure of the component in question. Labor and/or shipping charges are only covered for specified items, if an ATS Authorized Installer has installed the product and it is within the first year of the Warranty. 

ATS’ Limited Labor Warranty does not apply to extreme horsepower or race applications, and does not apply to any engine modifications as built by ATS, its agents, or any third parties.

ATS reserves the exclusive right to determine whether its products have been used for extreme horsepower and race applications, and reserves the exclusive right to void this Warranty if its investigation reveals the same. Aside from provisions set forth in this statement or other ATS Warranty related documents, ATS disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. ATS disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to: repair labor, rental vehicles, hotel costs, emotional distress, or any other inconvenience costs. 

This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties or guaranties, either express or implied, and shall not extend to any consumer or to any person other than the original purchaser residing within the boundaries of the continental U.S. or Canada.
